Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to generate and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner for services rendered and products sold. The role involves verifying billing data for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and communicating with internal teams to ensure billing information is up-to-date and aligned with project requirements.

Responsibilities

Generate and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner for services rendered and products sold.

Verify billing data for completeness and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies.

Communicate with internal teams to ensure billing information is up-to-date and aligned with project requirements.

Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries.

Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company billing policies and procedures.

Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

Essential Skills

Experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related field.

Familiarity with accounts receivable software systems and proficiency in data entry.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (PivotTables, Vlookups).

Customer service skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3 to 5 years of accounts receivable experience.

Manufacturing background preferred.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite role based in Roanoke, VA, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a high-growth company that is the largest US-owned manufacturer of electric transformers in North America. The work environment is dynamic, as the company is experiencing steady and sustained growth, serving every part of the US industry from its six state-of-the-art North American facilities.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
