Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Job Description

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for performing inspections, reviewing product builds, and supporting ongoing quality initiatives. This role starts with a focus on hands-on inspection work, gradually progressing to more engineering responsibilities. The engineer will join a small, collaborative team and work closely with the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming and in-process inspections.

Create and update inspection plans.

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Manage non-conforming material reports.

Participate in supplier management and audits.

Read and interpret engineering drawings for product evaluations.

Essential Skills

Bachelor of Science degree required.

Authorized to work in the U.S. (ITAR compliant)

Strong understanding of engineering drawings.

Experience with basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite in Santa Rosa, CA, five days a week. The company fosters a culture that emphasizes results over hours worked, with most employees working under 40 hours per week and enjoying 2 PM Fridays. Employees start in a hands-on quality role and have the opportunity to grow into a full-fledged quality engineer, with mentorship, structured onboarding, and training opportunities. You'll have ownership of your work and influence in maintaining and improving quality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
