Upstream Scientist - Microbial Fermentation & Bioprocess Development

Are you a hands-on upstream scientist with a passion for microbial fermentation and bioprocess innovation? We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Upstream Scientist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and scale-up of cutting-edge biopharmaceutical processes.

?What You'll Do

Execute and optimize lab-scale microbial fermentation processes, with a focus on scale-up to pilot and manufacturing levels.

Operate and troubleshoot bioreactors and associated analytical tools with precision and efficiency.

Apply aseptic techniques and upstream methodologies to support robust process development.

Analyze complex datasets, interpret results, and communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

Collaborate on experimental design and contribute to upstream strategy and innovation.

Maintain lab equipment, ensure safety compliance, and follow SOPs and regulatory standards.

Serve as a technical resource for upstream operations and project teams.

What You Bring

Strong experience in aseptic technique, bioprocessing, and microbial fermentation.

Experience with bioreactor operation, control systems, and data acquisition platforms.

Familiarity with PCR, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques.

Ability to troubleshoot both technical and mechanical systems in a lab setting.

Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

A curious mindset with a drive to stay current with scientific literature and industry trends.

Experience Level

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
