Description

Robert Half is seeking an Administrative Permit Specialist on behalf of a reputable organization in the Mechanicsburg area. This role is perfect for individuals who excel in detail-oriented, process-driven environments and enjoy providing exceptional administrative and customer service support.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support in processing permits, applications, and licenses, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and stakeholders regarding inquiries related to permitting processes.

Review and verify applications for completeness and accuracy; follow up with applicants on missing information.

Maintain and update records in systems and databases related to permits and licensing.

Assist with scheduling inspections, coordinating deadlines, and tracking permits through their lifecycle.

Prepare reports and summaries for management on permit statuses.

Manage incoming communications (email, phone calls) and route them appropriately.

Requirements

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in administrative or customer service roles, preferably in permitting, licensing, or municipal environments.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle high volumes of paperwork and information.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise professionally with customers and colleagues.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn permitting software.

Knowledge of local permitting regulations is a plus but not required.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
