HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Purchase Reserved Instances and Savings Plans and other optimization efforts

Become the billing expert available for training customers on understanding Cloud usage and patterns and champion and advocate for the use of our automated tools

Provide financial operations training, drive user experience improvements, adoption of processes and FinOps education

Support the CMS Cloud team in delivering highly communicative and financial reports that provide customers with their usage, monthly billing and funding utilization

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelors degree required or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills: Jira and Cost Optimization; Experience with FinOps by analyzing cloud cost & usage data

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent program solving and customer experience skills required; Must be able to communicate well with their customers throughout their Cloud journey; Attention to detail is a must

Preferred Skills : Prefer candidate local to the DMV; AWS Certified AI Practitioner; AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Location: 100% Remote with occasional travel to the MD/ VA area

Residency Requirement: Must have been in the US for at least 3 out of the last 5 years; Must be a US Person (Green Card holder, US Citizen, US permanent resident, alien, refugee or asylee.); Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
