Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Key responsibilities:

Support routine testing of plate-based assays such as ELISA, MSD, and AlphaLISA methods.

Involve with routine testing of flow cytometry, cell-based assays, sample preparation, cell count and cell viability assays for different cell and gene therapy programs.

Perform basic data acquisition and statistical analysis with clear and concise documentation in electronic lab notebooks and present to internal teams as necessary.

Collaborate cross functionally across different teams (PD, AD and other external partners) to ensure timely delivery of data and information.

Some weekend work/Holiday work is necessary for the job.

Assist with lab organization and compliance with lab safety protocols.

This position is lab-based and requires 80% lab testing and 20% sample/data management

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar

Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years')

OR Masters degree

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Hands-on experience with different immuno-based assays such as MSD, ELISA, AlphaLISA.

Hands-on experience and technical proficiency with mammalian cell culture, and aseptic techniques, flow cytometry, potency and PCR techniques.

Experience with or understanding robotic liquid handers (Hamilton or other) for automated sample preparation.

Understanding process development for cell and gene therapy products.

Excellent communication and attention to detail with the proven ability to solve problems and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, adaptable, multitasking, goal and timeline oriented, and strategic thinker.

Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.

Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds

Able to work in non-traditional work environments.

Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with

proficiency.

May have exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.

Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
