Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Business Information Services Department and other City Departments in guiding and managing new and existing information technology products and software through the information technology life cycle. Lead efforts in evaluating and selecting new information technology services. Act as a validation point for information technology solutions that are part of enterprise projects. Make recommendations on changes to improve the reliability of test methods to strengthen the reliability of software/infrastructure solutions. Act as a technical lead on multiple projects potentially including both BIS and outside staff and other City Department staff for enterprise applications and enterprise systems using Windows, Unix, Oracle and SQL. Act as the go to person for all information technology solutions that are a part of any enterprise project. Develop and deliver high performance designs that meet business needs within budget and scheduling configurations. Provide technical expertise to on various subjects for the 'Project Managers' on PeopleSoft, Microsoft and other software and databases. Act as mentor to staff, schedule and assign tasks and answer questions. Working Conditions: Office setting Required Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Six years of datacenter experience working on large server system (50 plus), involving networking, routing and Windows Servers Preferred Experience: 4+ years of working with Microsoft Online Services (Azure, Exchange Online, Entra, etc.), Microsoft PowerShell scripting experience in a mid to large server environment, and Windows Server products in a virtualized 200+ server datacenter. Experience working with System Center suite of products. EQUIVALENCY: An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
