Job Title: Associate Vice President (AVP), Ministry Marketing

The AVP of Ministry Marketing leads field-based marketing efforts across all Ascension regions, developing and executing local strategies that drive patient volumes, increase brand awareness, and reflect our Catholic healthcare mission. This leader manages a team of regional marketing professionals and collaborates with operational and clinical executives to ensure marketing approaches are aligned to local priorities and organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Lead field marketing strategy across all markets to drive volume, grow brand equity, and engage communities
Ensure alignment between local marketing execution and system-level strategies
Partner with regional CEOs, service line leaders, and providers to develop market-specific marketing plans
Guide integrated campaigns across digital, traditional, and community channels with measurable outcomes
Oversee development and execution of local campaigns, events, and sponsorships tied to business priorities
Collaborate with communications teams to deliver unified marketing and communications plans
Manage regional marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and ROI goals
Build strong relationships with executive and clinical stakeholders across ministries
Use market insights and analytics to optimize campaign effectiveness and identify local growth opportunities
Standardize campaign planning and measurement processes across regions
Lead and mentor a team of regional marketing leaders, setting clear performance goals and fostering growth
Uphold brand standards and ensure all marketing reflects Ascension's values and mission
Requirements
Education:
Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences
Master's degree preferred
10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles
Prior experience in healthcare marketing required; experience in multi-market or field marketing highly preferred
Proven success in leading localized campaigns that drive patient volumes and brand awareness
Strong understanding of integrated marketing channels, digital strategies, and local consumer engagement
Ability to build trusted relationships with providers, administrators, and senior leadership
Skilled in marketing analytics, ROI tracking, and budget management
Experience leading teams in mission-driven or faith-based organizations
Strong communication, collaboration, and strategic planning abilities
Demonstrated ability to balance local execution with system-wide alignment
