Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

As the Operations Manager, you will direct, coordinate, and evaluate all aspects of the production operations. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the timely deliver of high-quality finish products, meeting target production quantities, and adhering to established cost objectives. You will play a crucial role in coordinating and evaluating production processes to optimize efficiency and achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company's overall goals

Identifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue

Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities

Inspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement

Promote cooperation between shifts, assure excellent communication avenues, and provide recognition.

Recognize potential in subordinates and take affirmative action to develop and promote employees, while establishing inclusion and accountability.

Exercise direct control of production, quality, volume, cost, schedule and inventory target compliance.

Determine direct and indirect manning requirements to maximize throughput with minimum manning.

Anticipate equipment/tooling needs, make recommendations, and develop alternatives to avoid production down time.

Meet budget limitations for total unit cost.

Actively promote safety and health programs by setting an example, developing processes, insisting on clean and orderly work areas, and maintaining low blood leads and good work habits.

Meet or exceed product quality specifications as evidenced by QCPC and turn-back rations within established guidelines.

Promptly review disciplinary problems and recommend action.

Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.

Additional responsibilities as needed?to support the team and company goals.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications:

High school diploma required

Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, or Technical field preferred

5+ years of Sr. Management experience in a manufacturing environment

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge:

Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, supervisors, engineers, visitors, and corporate officials.

Computer knowledge and skills; MS Office, Google.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Environment & Physical Requirements:

This position requires you to be on site at our Columbus, IN location.

Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions. Exposed to lead, fumes, chemicals, operating equipment, and vehicles.

Travel:

Occasional travel may be necessary to fulfill business needs and support various projects and initiatives.
