We cannot accept cash. VACANCIES: At present two (2) vacancies exist in the Village of Mayville and one (1) vacancy exists in the Village of Westfield. DUTIES: Electrical Line Worker duties consist of erection, installation, maintenance and repair of all overhead and underground electric power distribution lines. Work requires climbing of poles in all kinds of weather and rigid observance of safety precautions to prevent injury to self, helpers and bystanders. When not working on line an employee in this class may be required to assist in street and water maintenance activities. Assignments are received from the Line Supervisor or Public Works Superintendent. Supervision may be exercised over the work of helpers, laborers, and trainees. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience as an electrical line worker on power distribution systems. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT - Possession, at time of appointment and during service in this classification, of a valid New York State Motor Vehicle Operators License appropriate for the @type of vehicles which the employee may operate.
