This is a temporary position.
The Manager, Brand Marketing is part of the US/CAN brand marketing team and is the brand guardian in continent, also responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics across a variety of owned, earned, and paid channels. The marketing manager will work closely with the US/CAN marketing team, paid media team, creative and content team, lodging product and field marketing partners to execute a variety of brand focused marketing activities. They will support execution across a variety of consumer facing channels including web, email, group marketing tools and tactics, public relations, paid media, and more. They work closely with global and continent stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities, identify strategic messaging recommendations, and support execution across relevant channels. They are an effective project manager and able to manage multiple stakeholders with competing demands.
They will also partner with our demand generation and field marketing teams to verify all marketing efforts are effectively integrated with the efforts of the organization to support US/CAN business needs. They are expected to offer not only strategic insights but also provide executional support for marketing tactics in a scalable manner. This individual should be prepared to challenge traditional thinking and find new, innovative, and thoughtful ways to reach consumers of their brands. Success is measured by how well they help drive room night and ancillary revenue for their brands, drive brand consideration and affinity, and how well they leverage the resources around them to create compelling and creative marketing campaigns.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, or a related major
3-5 years experience in sales, marketing, digital, or related professional area
Preferred
Hospitality marketing or marketing advertising agency experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing tactics.
Experience with agency management, creative production and/or marketing copywriting.
Experience with project management and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with varying components, stakeholders, and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment.
Experience working with and leading feedback submission with creative agencies
Experience proactively connecting emerging marketing, digital and social trends with current brand strategies and tactics.
Experience with developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Experience championing ideas from ideation to execution.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Brand Marketing Planning, Execution & Management
Support relationships with cross functional marketing team, providing project management and execution resource to assigned initiatives.
Manages project timelines, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
Promotes the documenting of project progress accurately.
Provides input and assistance to other teams regarding projects.
Provides timely, accurate, and detailed status reports as requested.
Develop briefs and orchestrate project kick-off calls.
Assist with processing contracts, scopes of work and invoices.
Lead process for quarterly content and optimization reviews in partnership with the creative and content teams.
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Communication and Reporting Support
Assist Senior Director with regular meetings and reporting with stakeholders in US/CAN marketing, global marketing, lodging product, paid media and public relations.
Submit priority work for feature in newsletters, project spotlight opportunities or other content requests. Create solutions for highlighting work amongst stakeholders.
Partner with marketing leadership generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
Brand Marketing Strategy & Stewardship
Support implementation of strategic and tactical plans across the premium and select segment of brands in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio of brands. Executes and supports global brand marketing plans, including 1-2-year objectives, strategies, activations, and measurement.
Provide support on brand updates and systems enhancements, assisting in marketing channels integration, content development and launch planning.
Manage promotion and pull-through of priority hotels in marketing communications.
Support marketing directors over US/CAN only brands in development and maintenance of visual and verbal aspects of brand voice including any guidelines, assets and tools needed to support pull through both externally and with internal teams.
Plays a key role in project feedback and leadership alignment.
The pay range for this position is $40.81 to $57.88 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
