We are looking for you to join our team as a Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist on the Subcontract Services ("SCS") team as a hybrid role out of Linthicum- Maryland, Rolling Meadows- Illinois, Melbourne- Florida, or San Diego -California. The role will be staffed as a hybrid role near one of the listed sites.

This is a posting for a Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist.

What You'll Get to do:

The Mission Systems Subcontract Services Team ("SCS") team specializes in the execution of complex terms and conditions agreements and a member of this team is considered a subject matter expert in terms and conditions and negotiations. The SCS Team is committed to enhancing GSC's negotiation and subject matter expertise through strategic and risk-based thinking and education.

As a member of the SCS team the candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in terms and conditions and contract negotiations in Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems supply chain. Position will require complex negotiations with Northrop Grumman's strategic and critical suppliers to establish favorable contractual positions and to settle disputes. The selected candidate will review, analyze, interpret, and draft tactical and strategic agreements. Candidate will liaise with the Law Department, Programs, Supply Chain, and Engineering to foster long and short-term business relationships with our supply base.

In addition to negotiations, the candidate will enhance GSC's negotiation and subject matter expertise through education and training offerings.

This position requires the ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities and individuals. A strong commitment and collaborative approach is paramount. Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, presentation and human relations' skills are required. Candidate must have clear examples exhibiting experience in multi-tasking to a successful outcome and usage of above mentioned communication and project management skills.

Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist:

Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, law, or a related field, or a Masters or J.D. with 6 Years of relevant experience.

3+ years of demonstrable experience in terms and conditions exhibited through a lead role in negotiations or contract drafting.

3+ years demonstrable leadership as exhibited through ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment while achieving favorable outcomes.

Ability to create and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

Experience drafting complex contractual documents, including, but not limited to, Overriding Agreements on Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Long Term Supply/Pricing Agreements.

Demonstrated negotiation experience

Experience with FAR/DFARS

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

U.S Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAP

Experience in law either as a J.D. or Paralegal

Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
