Drip Truck Driver
Job Summary:
Assists in operation and maintenance of gathering drip.
Job Duties:
Carefully observes and complies with all safety and environmental
requirements as outlined in Company s HSE (Health, Safety and
Environmental) Guidelines.
Attends weekly tailgate meeting and monthly safety meeting, to discuss
HS&E issues.
Drives tank truck equipped with suction pump to drain condensate and
water from gas pipeline drips; learns how to pre-trip and post-trip a truck
at the beginning and ending of the day, or if switching trucks.
Drives to drip location and connects bonding cable from truck to
valve, to ensure there are no sparks when connecting load hose from truck
tank to drip valve.
Maintain housekeeping on Well Sites.
Measures condensate in tank with calibrated pole or reads tank meter for
drip tanks; gauge on tank batteries shows water and condensate level data
required to determine when to haul water to disposal.
Opens pressure valve to force condensate into truck tank or starts
suction pump to draw out condensate when gas pressure varies.
Records amount of condensate drawn at each drip location, using float
gauge on truck tank.
Reads and follows directions in manufacturers maintenance manuals for
equipment components.
Keeps equipment and tools clean and secure; maintains neat and clean
work areas.
Prepares required vehicle mileage reports, time sheets, equipment
servicing reports, purchase requisitions, etc.; submits as required.
May exercise custody and safekeeping over tools and inventory of spare
parts and supplies kept for servicing and repairing equipment; may order
replacements for broken parts and routine items required to maintain truck
inventory levels.
Performs mechanical duties needed in maintaining and repairing field
equipment including valves, pumps, and other items of equipment.
May relieve other employees.
Knows and uses appropriate PPE (Protective Personal Equipment) at all times.
Operates Company and commercial vehicles in safe and courteous manner
over various @types of road conditions and terrain, including highways,
rural roads including paved and gravel surface, and off-road situations
including two track roads.
Installs tire chains for better traction when needed.
Washes and maintains equipment to company standards.
Maintains all employee related paperwork, time sheets, driver DOT
(Department of Transportation) logs, trip sheets, etc.
Understand reason and always parks with front of truck into the wind
(prevents vapors from getting into breather, which could cause truck fire
and/or explosion.)
Stops job for any unsafe situation or condition; immediately contacts
supervisor.
Duties may change frequently for unexpected issues (e.g., line
leaks, line blow outs, tank battery leaks, more liquid than anticipated, etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirement:
High School education or equivalent.
Entry level: no experience needed.
Experience driving commercial vehicles with oil field experience highly
desirable.
Able to drive in company in inclement weather.
Able to pass DOT physical; Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
Training (FMCSA) required.
Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and must frequently lift
and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and
color vision.
Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold.
Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic
chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring
consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Able to work varying hours, as required.
