Job Title: Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer-Manufacturing
Summary:The Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer-Manufacturing will work within the site manufacturing organization to lead development, implementation, and improve site operations and production processes with the goal of reducing operating costs within the Waterford Site. The role will be a senior member of the engineering organization and will act as an advisor to the overall site on cost reduction and process optimization.
The main objective for the role is to lead the Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) Program by coordinating, identifying, designing, and verify process improvement projects and efforts from early development/concept engineering through implementation and productivity cost benefits delivery. This individual will act both independently and collaborate within Waterford Site and Momentive Global Organizations to design and implement these cost productivity projects.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead scoping, engineering, and developing projects and meet project deadlines to support annual cost productivity plans and targets for the Waterford site.
Identify and execute with limited guidance the design, development, analysis, and evaluation of potential site VCP projects that meet business standards, practices, and procedures.
Develop business cases, proposals, and cost productivity calculations for future potential projects and track productivity benefits for current projects.
Coordinate within the WTFD Site, Global Technology, Global Procurement, and Global Logistics Organizations to execute site production changes. This may include material qualifications, changes in production processes, and new supplier introductions.
Implement large or complex project scope using the management of change (MOC) processes.
Interface as technical lead/expert with external engineering and construction firms to support project development through execution.
Support mentoring and coaching of junior technical talent.

Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Strong technical experience with at least 4+ years of related industry or technical manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated problem solving-ability to successfully lead and execute complex engineering efforts/projects on schedule.
Embraces and fosters an innovation and process improvement mindset.
Proven history of delivery on commitments and a strong sense of accountability, collaboration, and independence.
The following are preferred for the role
Proficiency with process chemical, mechanical, or manufacturing design (P&IDs, PFDs, equipment sizing and arrangements).
Demonstrated technical knowledge of continuous and batch chemical processes.
Experience in aspects of Process Safety Management, particularly including Management of Change and Process Hazards Analysis.
Proven ability to influence without authority, collaborate, and communicate across all organization levels.
Strong computer skills, including MS Office, SAP, and Minitab.
Ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve site productivity goals.
Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience.
Knowledge of instrumentation, automation, digitization, and process controls design concepts.

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $168,850
