Ford Motor Company's Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDI&A) organization is looking for a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst , focusing on Data Privacy and Use. You will be part of a global team and work with subject matter experts who have professional and technical backgrounds including data management, information technology and security, risk management, automotive and consulting. The Data Governance Analyst role will focus on privacy, customer data and risk management, ensuring data is efficiently utilized as an enterprise asset.
What you'll do...
Process manual requests received through the Data Activation Portal (DAP)
Analyze needs of customers and identify privacy requirements that will be required for approvals
Collaborate with stakeholders in OGC, business functions (HR etc.), and IT (security, risk management, application development), on privacy safeguards required in a global data environment
Understand and support the data security requirements of different functional areas like Ford Credit, MS&S, PD, etc., and all the regional KPI / Metrics initiatives
Support compliance activities, as needed, such as GDPR, CCPA audits, OICs, access reviews, etc.
Escalate issues in appropriate forums and work cross functionally to develop solutions
Serve as data governance subject matter expert and demonstrate an understanding of key principles and data usage.
Partner with data stewards to ensure all information utilized adheres to compliance, access management and control policies
Develop understanding of policies that govern country/region data security and privacy laws and/or regulations such as EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), US California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), etc.
Provide feedback to enhance the enterprise data governance model as needed
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, MIS, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
3-5 years of business requirement analysis, business process management, project management, consulting, data management or equivalent experience
Ability to apply data management standards and data governance practices
Strong collaboration, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills
Process improvement mindset - ability to identify and implement opportunities to improve existing business processes
Strong organizational skills; able to advance multiple work streams concurrently
Even better, you may have...
Master's degree preferred with a data science or business administration related focus.
Prior experience working on creating data protection related controls and standards by leveraging Privacy frameworks, any ISACA or CISSP related certifications would be a plus.
Project management methods and framework (including agile)
Understanding of Compliance, Regulatory and Privacy requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
Experience with existing ACR/ICR/SCRP processes
