Job Title: CDL Route Delivery and Yard Forklift Operator

Job Description

This position involves operating a day cab semi equipped with a mini crane or rear-mounted forklift to deliver building materials such as lumber, shingles, and rafters. In addition, responsibilities include working at a lumber yard to load trucks for delivery and assisting customers with their calls. The role requires a basic understanding of building materials, as items may not always be labeled or organized perfectly. Candidates will also contribute to organization and cleanup during slower periods, including tasks such as moving snow.

Responsibilities

Operate a day cab semi with a mini crane or rear-mounted forklift for delivery of building materials.

Load trucks with building materials at the lumber yard.

Assist customers with their calls and provide excellent customer service.

Organize materials and maintain cleanliness during slower times.

Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Essential Skills

Forklift operation experience.

General labor skills.

Knowledge of building materials.

Material handling and loading skills.

Ability to perform yard work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication skills.

Basic computer skills.

Clean driving record.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both outdoor and indoor settings, involving interactions with office staff, sales personnel, and delivery drivers. Employees will primarily work outside but will frequently have opportunities to go inside.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Paynesville, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
