This job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Mortgage Closing group at Credit Union.
What you'll do
Train, mentor and develop staff, including planning, monitoring, and providing effective feedback through employee recognition, and coaches and counsels, when necessary
Provide ongoing support/training of current Team members
Provide backup to staff as needed for seasonal fluctuation in volume
Handle escalated member requests
Assist in the development of new procedures and implementation of new technologies
Evaluate system/process workflows and provides recommendations for improvements
Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of compliance with applicable regulations
Interact with members and 3rd party vendors
Coordinate system testing needs
Work closely with Mortgage Production, Loan Servicing, and Accounting
Manage and reconcile monthly invoices
Perform other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a financial/banking institution with working knowledge of products, processes, polices, and services
Previous mortgage lending experience
Knowledge of loan origination/processing systems (Prime Alliance, Episys, and FICS)
Previous system management and testing process experience
Previous supervisory experience
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and multi task with attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
Skilled in mathematics and analytical ability
Ability to demonstrate superior people management and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff
Ability to supervise multiple staff personnel
Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and staff and work closely with multiple departments
Ability to manage projects in accordance with short and long range objectives
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work well under deadlines and high volume pressure
Ability to maintain a satisfactory performance and attendance
Ability to work varying schedules and shifts as required
Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
