Description

We are looking for an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to join our team in Irving, Texas. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to lead critical accounting operations and oversee high-volume accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in financial reconciliation, and a hands-on approach to managing dynamic teams and workflows.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.

Lead large-scale accounts payable cleanup efforts involving reconciliation of thousands of invoices.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance leadership and offshore support, to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.

Manage cash application, invoice tracking, and general ledger accuracy to ensure financial integrity.

Provide guidance and oversight to team members handling invoice processing and reconciliation.

Collaborate on system enhancements and process improvements to optimize accounting workflows.

Serve as a key point of contact for accounting operations, particularly within Oracle R12 environments.

Analyze financial data to identify and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.

Develop and maintain effective communication channels across finance, operations, and IT teams.

Support team members in adapting to dynamic and transitional accounting environments.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.

Expertise in full-cycle accounting and accounts payable processes.

Proven ability to manage high-volume financial reconciliation projects.

Experience with Oracle R12 systems is highly preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate across diverse teams.

Familiarity with Latin accounting practices and Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Hands-on problem-solving skills and ability to lead through ambiguity and change.
