Financial Controller

Vision Point Systems, Inc. (VPS) is recruiting for a Financial Controller to oversee and manage all accounting and financial activities. Duties will include but won't be limited to the following:

-Manage all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.

-Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and operations.

-Oversee payments of all accounts, ensuring accounts are paid on time.

-Process accounts and collect payments.

-Oversee all payments made for debts, bank loans, and other large quantities of money.

-Monitor cash and funding balances.

-Keep an organized online filing system of all accounts, statements, transactions, payments, and debts.

-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

-Organize information and statements for audits.

-Analyze costs and profits.

-Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field.

-7+ years of experience directly related to accounting and/or finance.

-A strong understanding of accounting and finance in a government contracting environment, in particular with FFP and CPFF contracts.

-Possess strong capabilities and experience with Unanet.

-Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

-Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

-Overseeing and managing DCAA audits.

-Strong capabilities with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

-Excellent verbal and written communication.

-Attention to detail.

-Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

-Ability to dissect challenges and be solutions oriented.

-Manage several competing priorities efficiently and effectively.

Desired Skills

-Experience supporting US Military contracts.

-CPA or CMA preferred.
