What You Will Learn:
Manage the manufacturing activities related to insourcing and offload projects and be the voice of the factory to the cross-functional stakeholders at L'Oreal.
Ensure the efficient relationship and communication with the factory's departments (Logistics/Industrial Quality/Production Floor, etc) and its external partners (Development, R&I, Global Supply Chain, Packaging, Sourcing, Color & Artwork) related to timelines of all insourcing and offload projects.
Create project timelines for insourcing and offload projects. Discuss, call out risks, validate and align project timelines with the development, packaging, R&I, and sourcing teams, taking into consideration change part ordering time lines, line trials, materials lead time and E&O from previous factory, quality testing and quality release timelines. Be able to influence timelines that support both the business and the factory's goals.
Follow up to ensure all key milestones in the plant related to timelines are met and hold cross-functional teams accountable to their deliverables in a timeline.
Work with the Master Scheduler to define the prioritization and planning of insourcing and offload projects within the 12 month rolling production plan.
Communicate and influence with all stakeholders as well as the manufacturing supply chain team at the factory.
Work with suppliers and procurement team to ensure materials are ordered based on insourcing timelines and then that they are delivered in accordance with expected lead times and expected quality.
Develop all batch size calculations and logistics requirements (specifications) for insourcing projects including optimal minimum order quantity and materials lead-time requirements.
Communicate production availability dates to Global Supply Chain teams.
Issue alerts to internal and external stakeholders if timelines are at risk that are transparent, clear, build trust and solution oriented.
Responsible for MINDSBOMC creation and accountable for the code creation process according to the information received from Packaging, Sourcing and Product Development.
Clearly track and communication with master schedulers for items that have reached the necessary requirements to move from insourcing management to cruising management.
Lead/facilitate Feasibility analysis of new projects, make recommendation for acceptance at the manufacturing facility based on packaging technology, processing technology, launch format, launch quantity and processing abilities. Be able to influence cross-functional teams and gain alignment on these topics.
Build trust through transparency and proactive, clear communication.
Anticipate issues and understand the urgency and impact to the production plan and service to the brand to properly escalate for resolution. Create an action plan that is feasible, reduces risk and maintain the timeline to that action plan.
Fully support an interdependent safety culture and work proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
Create and provide an environment in which employees can work safely and thrive.
Review strategic manufacturing vision and provide insights into global production that could be insourced to Franklin based on technology, division and brands.
Present status of projects to plant and cross-functional team's leaders on a monthly basis.
What We Are Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering or Supply Chain discipline preferred
3+ years of experience in a high-performance manufacturing facility - cosmetics industry preferred.
Must have strong written/verbal and communication and analytical skills.
Must demonstrate excellent business and personal ethics.
Must have strong leadership skills with relevant experience in project management, manufacturing practices and dealing with internal/external customers.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to interface with plant and corporate personnel at various organizational levels and external suppliers.
Ability to manage change, provide program management and achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP experience preferred.
Project management software experience preferred.
Advanced Excel strongly recommended (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
