Boeing's ES Tech & Systems organization is currently looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced Engineer.
This position at Boeing provides a unique opportunity for individuals to work with an exceptional facilities operation, contribute to the enterprise GREF Engineering team, and collaborate with colleagues from various technical backgrounds. The ideal candidate will also have control systems knowledge and experience as they relate to industrial HVAC, compressed air systems, lighting and paint booth operations.
In this role, you will support enhancements to site infrastructure, with emphasis on optimizing industrial building systems including power distribution (medium and low voltage), backup generators and both industrial and office lighting systems.

Position Responsibilities:
Provide input to infrastructure planning; complete studies; analyze current conditions and future requirements; recommend capital improvements; gather and analyze data; and work with both internal and external customers to identify and assess alternatives and impacts
Identify ways to improve site infrastructure, with a focus on industrial building systems such as medium and low voltage power distribution, backup generators, industrial and office lighting systems
Develop routine conceptual designs, final designs, cost estimates and provide maintenance support for the electrical and/or controls phases of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems and grounds
Align electrical and/or controls designs with customer requirements, building codes and applicable regulations by applying knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
Assist others to integrate the activities of multiple engineering disciplines, outside consultants and government agencies
Develop analysis to determine the cause of asset failures and reduction in asset capacity by using reliability tools and methods (e.g., life cycle analysis, condition-based maintenance, root cause failure methodology, mean time between failures, fault tree analysis, etc.)
Ensure accuracy of drawing archives/libraries
Support construction projects by providing input on vendor selection, reviewing contractor proposals, interfacing with government/regulatory agencies, etc
Prepare and present project information to ensure compliance with applicable construction documents and jurisdictional requirements and to meet project objectives
Use appropriate resources to produce project drawings, specifications, and permit application packages in accordance with project parameters
Collect and translate customer requirements into design options with documents and estimates
Identify appropriate materials, equipment, and services by applying engineering principles and methodology
Assist in the creation of contract scope
Participate in conceptual design by analyzing intended use/occupancy and desired aesthetics, code research, and the development of preliminary design element
Estimate resource requirements, identifies materials, equipment, and services, and develops preliminary project schedule to establish project scope
Manage reactive equipment repair
Other duties may be required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
1+ years of experience supporting medium voltage power distribution, backup generators, and/or industrial lighting systems
1+ years of experience working in a facilities engineering role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
1+ years of experience reading electrical schematic diagrams
1+ years of experience with industrial control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Level 3 : 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 2 : 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Control Systems such as Allen-Bradley, NLight, Payne Sparkman, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, TRANE, Honeywell, Johnson , etc.
Proficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Revit software.
Experience planning medium voltage substation preventative maintenance
Experience with reactive maintenance for building electrical systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Associate Level 2 Summary Pay Range: $78,200 - $105,800
Experienced Level 3 Summary Pay Range: $96,050 - $129,950
