Legal Secretary

Description We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team on a contract basis. This position, based in Reno, Nevada, offers coverage for a 5-day period. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and experience in legal support to ensure seamless operations during this time.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and file court documents in compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.

Transcribe legal documents and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.

Manage case files using specialized case management software.

Maintain and update legal calendars, including court dates and deadlines, to ensure timely filings and meetings.

Handle billing tasks, including preparing and processing invoices for legal services.

Liaise with clients and provide precise communication to address inquiries or coordinate meetings.

Support attorneys with administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow.

Utilize CompuLaw software to manage scheduling and deadlines effectively. Requirements - A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal support role.

Proficiency in using case management software and tools like CompuLaw.

Strong skills in calendar management, particularly for legal deadlines and appointments.

Experience with billing functions, including preparing and processing invoices.

Excellent transcription abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational and communication skills to manage client relations and administrative tasks.

Familiarity with legal filing systems and procedures for court submissions. TalentMatch®
