What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney's Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead projects to develop machining processes for New Product Introductions programs. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the newest products and manufacturing technologies being designed and developed at Pratt & Whitney.

Responsibilities

Planning and development of machining processes for new experimental engine hardware and in some cases phasing these processes into production.

Advancement of machining technologies in place on current production parts to apply latest technologies and best practices. This includes working with

New product design engineers during conceptual design phase through detail design and ultimately initial hardware manufacture.

Cutting tool selection and specification, process design and tryout, creation of work instructions, development of new process technologies, first piece tryout and achieving source approval of developed processes and delivery of new engine hardware.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Machining processes including turning, milling shaping and grinding; processing aerospace materials including nickel and titanium; process planning and new product development.

US Citizenship Required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Aerospace manufacturing, new product introductions, rotating hardware, IBRs/Blisks, fan/compressor airfoils, new capital equipment projects, continuous improvement projects, MRL (manufacturing readiness levels) and project leadership.

This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
