The Brand Marketing and Creative department is the team responsible for creating compelling, brand-relevant marketing and creative for our B2C and B2B customers. As a supporting member of the Brand Marketing and Creative team, you will work with the lead copywriter to combine storytelling with marketing expertise to create engaging copy that resonates with existing and potential guests at Choice Hotels. All of this while driving bookings and brand love.

Your Responsibilities
Help develop persuasive marketing copy for various platforms, including email, promotional campaigns, social media, brochures and digital, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging across all channels.
Adapt tone, style and messaging to suit different target demographics, personas, and/or platforms while maintaining consistent brand voice.
Collaborate with the marketing team and other stakeholders to develop promotional campaigns, seasonal offers that drive bookings and revenue.
Review, proofread and refine copy across all channels, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
A minimum 1-3 years of experience as a creative copywriter working within a branding, advertising, agency, or in-house creative marketing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications
Ability to work with, and take direction, from lead copywriter and other team members.
Hospitality experience a plus.
Experience with both B2C and B2B consumers a plus.
Comfortable working within tight deadlines and managing time efficiently
Flexibility to switch between writing for different brands, audiences, and tones of voice.
Strong understanding and knowledge of consumer brand principles and management.
Portfolio of work that demonstrates experiences across various platforms such as email, web, digital and social media.
Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Great communication and presentation skills.
Proven brainstorming, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Adobe Creative Suite and Figma experience a plus.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Copywriter. You will have 5 peer teammates and collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Associate Copywriter, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we're located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtually from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $56,079 - $65,893 annually.
The pay range listed is for this position and is what Choice Hotels reasonably expects to pay. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
