Purchasing Specialist

Description

Procurement Management: Process purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely and accurate procurements.

Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with stakeholders to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors for quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and resolve any invoice or delivery discrepancies.

Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, contracts, and documentation for audits and reference.

Budget Tracking: Assist in monitoring the purchasing budget by preparing cost analyses and reporting on spending trends.

Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the purchasing workflow to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with finance, supply chain, and operations teams to meet purchasing goals and deadlines.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience:

2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or coordination experience.

Skills:

Proficiency in procurement software and tools (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to analyze and optimize purchasing strategies.
