Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth operations within the accounts payable process. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your skills in a collaborative and focused environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and verify accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Allocate invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers.

Review and reconcile monthly credit card expenses and ensure proper allocations.

Oversee and manage the administration of credit card applications.

Handle petty cash transactions and maintain accurate records.

Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial information.

Assist with billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Answer and manage incoming calls on a switchboard with 1-10 lines as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

Familiarity with billing processes and credit card expense reconciliations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Experience managing petty cash and credit card applications.

Strong communication skills, including handling calls on a switchboard with 1-10 lines.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
