Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our organization's financial activities. Based in Paducah, Kentucky, this role requires a meticulous individual who can manage accounting functions while supporting compliance and reporting needs. Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee general ledger activities, including month-end closings, bank reconciliations, payroll, and billing processes.

Maintain accurate financial records, including purchase orders and inventory tracking.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements while assisting with internal and external audits.

Prepare and analyze financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Collaborate with various departments and external partners on financial projects and initiatives.

Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Provide support for the preparation and consolidation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain organizational financial health.

Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience of 5+ years.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and documents.

Experience in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

Familiarity with auditing practices and the preparation of financial statements.

Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Previous experience in a related industry and certifications demonstrating attention to detail are a plus but not required.
