Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager assist in maintaining financial accounting systems, including accounts payable, general ledger. Must be team player with great attention to detail.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Assist with monthly financial statements preparation. Prepare supporting schedules, accruals and reports for month end.

Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis.

Review A/P invoices for appropriate account coding and approval, to include credit card purchases.

Approve monthly refund files processed by ORTHOS, Ventra.

Perform and/or approve bank account ACH transfers and review/approve daily on-line deposits.

Perform general accounting functions, including entry into General Ledger system and month-end close work and monthly Journal Entries.

Run reports for monthly HST closing.

Provide back-up to processing A/P.

Assist in processing of various bonus allocations.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

Similar accounting experience in a health care setting (Preferred)

Knowledge of journal entries.

Experience with QuickBooks, Intacct, Mineral Tree, Excel, and Word.

Interpersonal communications skills that allow effective interaction with a variety of health care professionals and personnel.

The ability to work independently; organize and prioritize work; meet deadlines; and perform under time pressure.

Demonstrated keyboarding skills; ability to operate various office equipment, including computer, copy machine, fax machine, and other common office equipment.

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree in Accounting with two or more years of relevant experience (Preferred)

Previous management experience (Required)

Knowledge of journal entries and balancing supporting journals and schedules to general ledgers (Required)

The position requires an organized, self-motivated individual capable of operating independently, who can perform under time pressures and meet deadlines. This is a "hands-on" accounting position.

Working Conditions:

Requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting; and pushing of light to medium weight objects.

Works in clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated environment with no apparent direct exposure to physical hazards.

HIPAA Compliance:

Accounting Manager will not have access to medical records.
