Job Description
The primary Job responsibilities of Electrical engineer include designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for small robots and other ground-based vehicles according to customer requirements. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs. Contributes to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product. Reports to a manager and works with Tech Lead. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of electrical engineer includes:
-Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
-Designs, tests, and determines fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products.
-Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
-Ensures that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
-Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
-Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
-Maintains regular study habits by frequently reviewing emerging technologies that improve the design, development, and testing of software programming and applications and applies technologies learned
-Provides leadership and guidance in technical area of specialization.
Mandatory skills and skill proficiencies
-Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Proficient in EDA tools
-Proficient skills with analog/digital circuit design.
-Lead DFMEA process.
-Proficient in functional safety analysis.
-Has leadership skills in coaching mentoring and guiding other engineers.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Experience with ALTIUM designer or equivalent
-Experience/understanding of circuit design.
-Experienced and proficient in the use of test tools such as Ocilloscopes, Logic analyzer, etc.
