Accounting Clerk

Our client, a dynamic organization in the utility sector, is seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk for a 3-4 week project. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the finance department supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Cape Girardeau, MO

Pay Range: $15.00 - $17.00/hr

What's the Job?

Review and reconcile general ledger entries.

Match debit and credit transactions against bank deposits and payments.

Work with cash accounts and banking data to identify and correct reconciliation errors.

Use Microsoft Excel to track and manage data.

Assist with manually correcting errors from a prior system migration.

What's Needed?

High School Diploma or GED.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, specifically debit and credit functions.

Strong Excel skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently.
