Quality Control Tech I - Alexandria

As the Quality Control Technician, I perform field and lab tests on ready-mix concrete to ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, and DOT standards. This is a seasonal, entry-level role that provides hands-on experience in concrete testing and mix performance evaluation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature tests. Collect and document concrete samples from production sites. Assist with mix adjustments to maintain quality. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment. Accurately record and report test results. Follow all safety protocols and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I certification within 12 months of hire. Ability to obtain MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certification within 12 months of hire. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors Must be willing to work early mornings, some nights, and some weekends Valid driver's license (regularly required to drive and navigate to job sites) Travel as required PREFFERED: ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 2 MnDOT Plant/Agg/Field/Strength certified This seasonal, full-time hourly position comes with a strong benefits package including: Competitive pay range of $22 - 28 per hour, based on experience and background Overtime eligible after 40 hours Paid Time Off Strong Health Plans to choose from Dental & Vision plans, Company Paid Life insurance & Short Term Disability 401K with company match, and more!
