Overview

The successful applicant will participate in and assist with all areas and functions of the Accounts Payable Office.

This position is eligible for excellent benefits including:

Responsibilities

Process payments in the e-procurement system USU EZ-BUY

Will be responsible for sorting, sealing, and mailing university checks. This may include delivering items to the Cashier's Office or to other offices on campus as needed

Includes any other accounts payable related tasks assigned by supervisor

Answer multiple telephone lines in a professional manner

Assist students and campus personnel at front counter

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of relevant experience or an associate's degree

Must have experience in working in multiple computer programs simultaneously including Windows, Excel, and web browsers

Finalist may be required to perform a ten-key and/or keyboarding test at the time of the employment interview

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of USU's Banner Finance System

Bookkeeping/accounting related work experience or Associate's degree or certification in a business/related field

Knowledge of University Travel Policies and procedures

Knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and in written form

Must be able to handle confidential information

Demonstrate a willingness to learn and acquire new skills

Accurate ten-key and keyboarding required
