JOB REQUIREMENTS: Greif Wisconsin Paperboard is an essential manufacturer of 100% Recycled Paperboard used in the Corrugated and Industrial Packaging Industries and Greif Milwaukee Mill is expanding our Converting Department. The responsibilities of a General Laborer can vary from day to day depending upon operational needs driven by our customer requirements. Under supervision, applies general knowledge and skills to perform mostly routine activities associated with various @types of assembly machine operation and/or setup. May handle non-routine tasks or problems. Follows established procedures but may have limited discretion to modify methods or approach. Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. Positions stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template. Develops intermediate knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and experience. Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities The main responsibilities are good housekeeping which helps maintain a safe working environment. Walking/working surfaces free of debri/scrap. Assure that the machine is set up meaning skids for orders. Assist setting up the machine. Helping stage pallets for orders. Verify orders are correct helping operator check width/length of sheet, and any order details are being followed to customer specifications. Must participate in established safety programs for improvement and is responsible for compliance with all rules and regulations, and for continuously practicing safety while performing job duties. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and Skills Ability to work safe in a team environment. Has good judgement, initiative, and ability to carry out assignments with minimal direct supervision. Willingness to stand and/or be on feet for 6 hours and up to 12 hours per day on occasion (fill in for call offs). Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as needed. Must be able to go up and down on ladders, steps, or other lifts as necessary. Must be able to work in poor weather and/or unregulated temperatures 8 hours/day, up to 12 hours as needed.
