Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to solve problems effectively. This role requires a strong understanding of customer service principles, teamwork, and the ability to manage time as well as analyze data efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data and running reports to assist our leadership team with decision making as well as lead meetings, and present information to various groups and teammates. In addition, the successful candidate will back up and/or maintain our rebate program, updating pricing, monitoring import activity, and other various responsibilities as needed. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations to ensure alignment with business goals. This position may required some travel and occasionally working outside normal business days and/or hours. [[cust_safetyState]]

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

1 year experience in a marketing role or similar position.

3+ years extensive experience using excel, sequel viewpoint

Customer Service: Apply knowledge of customer service principles to establish expectations, anticipate and meet customer needs, and adjust approaches based on the situation.

Teamwork: Collaborate and coordinate information effectively with team members to achieve common goals.

Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work: Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks. Proactively seek out work that needs to be done. This includes effective time management.

Business Acumen: General business knowledge and an understanding of how Nucor makes money.

Leadership Presence & Courage: Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise.

Preferences:

Experience using AS400
