Description We are searching for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Garden Grove, California. As a Staff Accountant, your primary duty will be to maintain precise financial records, manage account reconciliations, and ensure adherence to relevant regulations and accounting standards. You will also be expected to provide robust support to internal teams and deliver exceptional service to external partners. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the general ledger, ensuring that financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly, which includes accruals, adjustments, and journal entries.

Conduct thorough account reconciliations and rectify discrepancies in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Review and rectify errors in financial data, making sure of proper classification and documentation.

Offer assistance during the month-end and year-end close processes, which includes preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation.

Participate in the creation and enhancement of internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.

Provide support during audit processes by preparing documents and responding to inquiries from auditors.

Utilize your skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, Oracle, Accruals, Accrual Accounting, GAAP Accounting, and Public Accounting Audit. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

Demonstrable knowledge of General Ledger operations

Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries

Familiarity with Month End Close processes

Proficiency in Oracle or similar financial software

Experience in managing Accruals and Accrual Accounting

Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles

Prior experience in Public Accounting

Experience in conducting Public Accounting Audits
