What does this role look like?

The focus EE field for this position is ground power systems to include AC direct or battery supplied and emulation units used to power space vehicles.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

Perform rack level ground support equipment electrical engineering for a variety of electronic components, digital and/or analog circuitry, vendor supplied or customed designed card sets, COTS/MOTS computers, processors, inter-processors, network switches, firewalls, wiring, cable connections, and console and/or data interfaces.

Consideration for a subsystem lead position will be assessed for applicants.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

Experience with the design, manufacturing and final assembly of Electrical Ground Support Equipment.

5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 3+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Prior experience with the following:

Familiarity of Electrical Ground Support Equipment designs and troubleshooting.
Ground power and battery emulation systems

Desired Skills:

Basic rack assembly

Production of electrical engineering drawings using Creo Parametric and/or Zuken applications

Manufacturing and final assembly of Electrical Ground Support Equipment

FFMEA

Electrical design standards such as EMS200

Windchill (EPDM)

Electrical drawing checking experience

Hardware component calibration

Development of electrical design documentation to include operations and maintenance of hardware equipment

Performing rack tip analysis- Experience or coursework in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools.

Mechanical drawing checking experience

Windows and/or RedHat OS experience

NI Labview operations

Software development/maintenance

Instructor level experience or coursework in analog and digital design

Self-starter

Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office to include Visio

A willingness to travel

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
