As a member of the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis, you will join a team of creative, collaborative, and mission-focused data analysts and scientists. You\'ll have an opportunity to make a difference by guiding stakeholders in identifying insights to answer complex, mission-critical questions in the areas of admissions, financial aid allocation, and student success. You will be a key contributor and advisor in building and implementing a multi-year enrollment plan, a critical component of the university\'s strategic plan. This role has potential for a hybrid work arrangement after successful orientation and sufficient on-the-job proficiency. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Admissions Analytics: support existing and develop new analytics to support undergraduate admissions goals, including: Annually re-training and deploying the test-submitter PQPA model and the test-optional PQPA model and evaluating its accuracy Annually re-training and deploying the admitted student probability to enroll predictive model and evaluating its accuracy Assessing competitive landscape for canceled admitted students Evaluating admissions standards annually Analyzing deposit behavior Visualizations of operational and historical data related to the undergraduate and graduate admissions funnels Respond to external surveys requesting admissions data, including IPEDS surveys 2. Enrollment Analytics: support existing and develop new analytics to support undergraduate and graduate enrollment projections and reporting: Maintain enrollment projection calendar Develop and maintain prediction models for undergraduate and graduate programs and manage process of delivering projections to committee Collaborate with Finance to ensure enrollment data meets budget projection needs Evaluate predictive models Respond to external surveys requesting enrollment data, including IPEDS surveys 3. Data Science Infrastructure: support the development and maintenance of OIRA\'s data science tool Manage Python scripts to support predictive models Collaborate with ITS Data Engineering to maintain environment Develop templates for data science projects 4. Data Management: support the development and maintenance of OIRA\'s data warehouse environment Audit data prior to census dates Maintain store procedures for all data warehouse tables related to admissions and enrollment Develop new data tables as analytics require Serve as the OIRA chair of the university data stewardship committee ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor\'s degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field A minimum of 2 years of related experience Experience in implementing and/or applying information technology or systems to one or more business functions/operations Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated strong attention to detail involving data, systems, and documentation Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Master\'s degree in business, data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social or behavior science or another related field Experience with relational databases and in querying enterprise data systems and warehouse environments Experience with project management Experience working effectively with data systems and end users, particularly regarding quality control, documentation, and process improvement Department: Institutional Research Posting Date: 04/01/2025 Closing Date: To apply, visit https://apptrkr.com/6123292 It is the policy of Marquette University to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO ) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other applicable federal or state-protected classification.
