Job Title: Sr. Operations Manager
Summary:
In this role, you will support, through demonstrated leadership, company policies, safety and environmental programs, drive continuous improvement in customer quality, and manage the facility in the most economic manner to achieve overall business goals
Responsibilities Include:
Compliance
Ensures operations at the Sistersville Facility are in Compliance with Local Law and Momentive Internal Regulations
Establish / Execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis for an open, trusted, and accepted EHS Culture at the Site
Establish / Execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis for Continuously improvement of EHS leading indicators
Ensure operations maintain compliance with existing permit requirements
Maintain trusted relationships with all agencies
Ensure proper Documentation for the Site (e.g. Permits on file, MOC Process)
Maintain continuous improvement activities to support VPP certification at the site
Operations
Full Responsibility for an Operations Area at the Sistersville facility
Execute Production Orders on Time in Full / In Spec (First Time Right)
Collaborate on cost optimization and inventory management with SIOP.
Partner with Commercial and Technology teams regarding NPI (New Product Introduction) and Product Transfers.
Final approver for New Raw Material Introduction.
Cost Controlling
Full Responsibility for Cost of Operations in their area of responsibility (i.e. all Operating Cost Centers including Conversion and Base Costs)
Responsible for Operation Cost analysis and forecasting together with Manufacturing Finance
Identifying / Executing / Maintaining / GAP Analysis of VCP projects for sustainable cost optimizations at the Site at given and agreed targets, including total financial year forecast
Identifying / Executing / Maintaining / GAP Analysis of capital investment projects within agreed budget-scope-time, including total financial year forecast
Quality Improvement
Improvement of Product Quality in the area of responsibility.
Establish/execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis of Continuous Improvement Process
Partner up with all Business segments on Business needs
Establish / Execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis on existing and future Quality Standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
HR Tasks
Establish / Execute / GAP Analysis Training Plans for Employees together with the HR Team
Identifying training and development needs in partnership with the direct manager
Quality Improvement
o Improvement of Product Quality in the area of responsibility.
? Establish / execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis of Continuous Improvement Process
? Partner up with all Business segments on Business needs
? Establish / Execute / Maintain / GAP Analysis on existing and future Quality Standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
HR Tasks
o Responsibility for HR-related matters in Operation
o Collaborate on and implement training plans for employees.
o Identify employee training and development needs.
o provide strong leadership to engage employees in continuous operational improvement.
o Foster an open and trusted work culture aligned with regulations and policies.
Provide strong hands-on leadership for their areas of responsibility that engage all associates in continuously improving the operations to meet exceptional levels of performance in safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.
Establish and maintain an open-minded and trusted culture, which is in line with legal requirements, as well as internal regulations/policies
Safely run operations (manufacturing, maintenance) at a level that meets customers' needs and established financial benchmarks
Implements manufacturing policies and programs that drive the organization to maintain and improve its competitive position and the profitability of the operation
Directs activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
Develop and implement effective employee relations programs that support the sites goals
Embrace continuous improvement philosophies and tools to engage employees and transform operational processes to position sites for achievement of business goals and competitive positions in the markets served
Provide effective leadership and execution tools to deliver both VCP (cost reduction/productivity) and capital projects per annual plans
Develop long-term capital plans to support the growth expectations for the business
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or related engineering field or equivalent work experience.
10 years' experience in Manufacturing with previous management experience.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Decisive, results-driven and hands-on.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
The following are preferred for this role
Track record of team development and engagement.
Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) Experience.
Strong demonstrated project execution skills.
Knowledge of Maintenance Excellence concepts Reliability, OEE, Predictive tools.

movement within the facility. Walking on various surfaces and maintaining balance is

necessary. Lifting to 50 pounds may be required. Certain positions may necessitate
passing a fit test and wearing a respirator.
The work environment for this position is a manufacturing setting, which may
expose employees to outdoor weather conditions and loud noise levels. Candidates must
be adaptable and comfortable working in a traditional business environment.
