Floor Technician - Second Shift (Manufacturing Technician)

Location: Lakeville, CT

Shift: Second Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Floor Technician to join our team on the second shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various molding and assembly machines, ensuring product quality, performing material handling, and performing routine maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This role offers a great opportunity for those interested in working in a dynamic team and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Load, start up, and operate molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines.

Perform necessary color changes and material handling.

Conduct visual and functional quality inspections at predetermined intervals to ensure products meet quality standards.

Handle materials and monitor auxiliary equipment.

Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Conduct necessary gaging to ensure products meet dimensional standards.

Correctly label products and palletize them for transfer to the next operation.

Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with job requirements.

Communicate effectively with both prior and oncoming shifts to ensure production goals are met.

Report any machine or quality issues immediately to the supervisor.

Promote safety by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Follow all procedures outlined by ISO 9001, OSHA, and IATF 16949 standards.

Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior experience in manufacturing; experience in plastic injection molding is a plus.

Basic math skills and reasoning ability.

Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.

Strong team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
