WHAT AWAITS YOU.Use a combination of exploratory analysis and data mining techniques to identify and understand trends and anomalies and apply statistical inference to draw conclusions from data.Utilize analytical and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets and use statistical tools / platforms like SAS, Python, R to develop data-driven solutions to difficult business challenges.Collaborates with the Data Scientists across business lines with processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.Support various residual value and credit risk related modelling topics, including documentation, communication, implementation, maintenance and updates.Assist and provide feedback to the Enterprise Risk Analyst in order to support Model Risk Management (MRM).Compile and review the BMW FS Risk Catalogue by communicating with various stakeholders, collecting information, and keeping up with changing business needs. Ensure that the risk strategy is in line with Local Financial Services Business Strategy as well as the Global Risk Strategy.Review, revise, and update BWM FS Risk Strategy and Risk Model Governance Policy. Propose changes and enhancements as required. Ensure proper documentation and communication to the National Risk Committee and understanding and adherence to the Policy by all affected groups.WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or universityPossess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)Have completed at least 60 college credits or be at least a rising JuniorField of study: Risk Management, Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related fieldMust attach a copy of college unofficial transcriptAbility to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)Relevant coursework or prior internship experience in finance, accounting, or data analysisProficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and WordExperience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and creating impactful dashboards and reportsBasic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data extraction, manipulation, and analysisKnowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniquesStrong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking abilities to identify trends, patterns, and insights from dataExcellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendationsAbility to translate complex financial and business data into clear, actionable recommendationsWHAT YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO.Medical InsurancePaid Time Off in addition to Company paid holidays where eligibleHybrid work environmentIntern Vehicle Lease ProgramThis is a full-time internship position for our Summer Rotation, from June 2, 2025 through August 22, 2025 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.The internship will provide exposure to various aspects of strategic risk management and safeguarding of company's assets and liabilities within a global automotive finance organization. The intern will have the opportunity to develop skills in:Strategic RiskResidual Value RiskCredit RiskInterest Rate and Liquidity RiskThe key focus areas of the internship include developing competencies in financial analysis, data analysis, data science and modeling, risk management, internal controls, and business intelligence. The intern will gain hands-on experience working across different functions and collaborating with stakeholders to support the organization's financial operations and strategic decision-making.The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $22.00The hourly rate for Graduate students is $26.00
