Plant Administrative Assistant

Job Description

As a Plant Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our plant. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of administrative tasks, from processing invoices and purchase orders to providing essential support for plant management. You will be instrumental in maintaining accurate payroll and production statistics, tracking inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of our plant.

Responsibilities

Operate the scale for weighing company, customer, and third-party trucks.

Process vendor invoices and purchase orders.

Provide administrative support for plant management.

Compile, enter, and report payroll and production statistics.

Track finished goods inventory, equipment utilization, plant costs, and labor hours.

Purchase parts and safety supplies.

Maintain fuel inventory and equipment downtime reports.

Handle month-end accruals and reporting.

Process personnel changes and maintain files.

Manage timekeeping, invoicing, customer service, accounts payable, and clerical tasks.

Essential Skills

2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Experience with payroll processing, supporting a team of around 13 people.

Basic Excel skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with payroll ERP systems like KRONOS (preferred, but not required).

Experience with accounting ERP systems such as Oracle or JD Edwards.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The work environment is not a typical office setting; you will be working in a small office located within a quarry. You will be part of a very tight-knit team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
