Summary Description Provide prompt, dependable, high-quality sales to customers by using proactive feature-benefit sales techniques. Major Duties and Responsibilities 1.) Sales Department - Attain new and used sales quotas as agreed upon with the sales manager. - Use floor time effectively to meet customers needs and solicit sales of all products - Present features and benefits of products to customers - Maintain the computerized inventory control system along with net profit objectives. - Cross sell additional parts, accessories, and extended warranties with all products offered. - Maintain profit margin objectives for all sales - Follow procedures to ensure timely and proper completion of all paperwork - Introduce customers to the Service and Parts dept personnel. - Keep an orderly showroom, including the detailing of units on the showroom as needed. - Provide accurate presentation of financing options for customers - Ensure units are fitted with the proper accessories, and unit is in proper condition before the customer takes delivery. 2.) Customer Service - Greet customers immediately in a friendly and courteous manner. - Handle telephone transactions courteously and friendly, with strong consideration for customer s time - Ensure customers are properly qualified for needs, wants, and ability to buy. - Attend periodic training to keep current with sales techniques and product updates - Cultivate prospects with customer follow-up via phone calls, past owners, etc. 3.) Other Duties as assigned Commitments - Treat all employees and customers fairly and courteously - Model superior customer service behaviors for all sale personnel by maintaining positive relationships with customers, employees and owners. - Remain current with all Sales dept training as made available. - Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling - Be honest and fair in all business dealings - Meet or exceed sales goals on a regular basis - Continually learn about the products and services you sell, while staying current on sales trends and features Job Requirements - Must have the ability to get along with a broad customer base - High Energy level - Excellent communication skills and demonstrated closing skills - Knowledge and experience with sales of powersports products sold by the dealership, or the demonstrated ability to learn quickly - Must be able to work effectively with all areas of the dealership to maximize the buying experience for the customer and the profitability of the dealership. Physical Demands - The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud - Requires the ability to operate ATV, SxS, and Motorcycles - Spend the majority of the day on your feet Working conditions - Potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaners and other toxic materials commonly found in a powersports dealership - Occasionally exposed to exhaust fumes and other airborne particles. Work Type - Monday to Saturday, hours varying from 9:00am to 6:00pm Benefits - Health insurance - Retirement 401(k) or similar - PGA Discount - Sick leave - Vacation Pay - Salary and commission
