DUTIES: Provide overall leadership in setting Engineering strategy and technical direction for the Greenville KitchenAid team. Provide support, guidance, and training to plant Industrial Engineering and coordinate all the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities across the facility. Work with Operations, Materials, Maintenance, HR, Finance, Central Manufacturing Engineering (CME), New Product Introduction (NPI) groups, and the Whirlpool WCM teams. Develop plans and drive actions to improve labor efficiencies and eliminate non-value added activities. Lead production line rate increases and shift additions to reduce backorders. Identify, lead and implement cost savings, safety and quality projects, aligned to improve the results of the company (Cost, delivery, safety). Drive WCM methodologies and champion the concept of 'Zero' to eliminate plant losses in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people. Lead the FI pillar within the WCM framework. Manage cost by monitoring and reducing controllable spend and overtime. Drive Kaizen projects that reduce losses in cost and improve efficiencies. Build organizational capability through proactive coaching of direct reports on skill-building and career development. Proactively collaborate with peers in other Whirlpool manufacturing locations. Drive continuous improvement in the organizational, technical and business information processes/systems through lean/innovative thinking/ideas. Responsible for managing the continuous improvement building area where we design and build our racks, fixtures, proto@types, etc. Participate in product line rationalization, simplification, core/non-core discussions. Supervise 8 employees with the following job titles: Industrial Engineer, Sr Industrial Engineer, NPI Lead, NPI Technician, Lean Specialist, and Lean Technician.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the offered position or related occupation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be "quantified" by "time". Required expertise/knowledge includes:

Experience in Predetermined Motion Time System Techniques (MOST and MODAPTS) to determine labor standards for current and future products.

Experience in setting time standards and labor levels in Main line Assembly and Backshop processes (Machine Shop, Painting, Assembly).

Experience in Labor Management Systems including Proplanner in creating assembly routings and station level activities.

Experience in conducting value added/Non-Value Added (VA/NVA) Analysis and represent the classification with Yamazummi charts, thereby improving manpower utilization.

Experience in managing multiple projects in parallel from start to finish (Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Control, Closing).

Experience in applying Theory of Constraints and calculating current capacity of Assembly/Paint/Backshop and determining the required capacity based on forecasted demand.

Experience in balancing the manpower requirement and labor based on changes in the production demand (Rerate/Line balancing).

Experience in identifying and implementing advanced kaizen projects using Plan, Do Check & Act (PDCA) cycle.

Experience in identifying and resolving Quality Defects using Six Sigma Methodologies.

Experience in launching New Product Introductions (NPI) starting from Concept Validation (CV) build to Start of Production (SOP).

Experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Principles and Methodologies.
