Job Description Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer in Jersey City, NJ

Duties: Develop applications in support of business objectives while demonstrating independence in software development lifecycle phases from concept and design to testing. Work on new and existing applications along with enhancements to websites, web applications, and infrastructure. Perform hands-on coding and assist in the architecting of web content solutions. Serve as a liaison to internal customers, research groups and various business support areas. Provide technical guidance to junior programmers and other software engineers. Troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications. Participate in design and technical meetings.

$103,210-109,500 per year.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience. The position also requires 2 years of experience in all of the following:

Software development and System maintenance.
Working with N-tiered applications, multi-tier architecture, and production Internet architectures.
Developing elegant-yet-simple systems using best practices and design patterns.
Working with following software technologies: Java; J2EE; Unix or Linux; RabbitMQ or SQS; MongoDB or DynamoDB; Solr, Lucene, or Elastic Search; Apache TIKA; Tomcat; SVN; GIT; Spring framework suite; RESTful web service pattern; JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS, and EmberJS); CI/CD; CSS; AJAX.
Working with object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methods.
