Alaska Gear Company is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our Fairbanks team for the winter season. If you enjoy helping people, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a team that supports Alaska's hardworking industries and outdoor communities, wed love to hear from you.

This is approximately 30 hours per week Monday through Saturday- from September through February.

What You'll Do

As a Sales Associate, you will play an important role in creating a positive customer experience and supporting daily store operations.

Responsibilities include:

Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner

Provide product recommendations based on customer needs

Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system

Receive, stock, and organize merchandise

Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales displays

Help monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed

Answer customer questions in person and over the phone

Support team members with store projects and seasonal initiatives

Follow company policies and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Strong customer service and communication skills

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is preferred but not required

Reliable attendance and punctuality
