Shaw Construction is hiring a Construction Surveyor (Self Perform Concrete) to join our team here in Denver!

This is a hands-on, field-driven role for someone who wants to be part of impactful construction projects from the ground up, supporting our Self Perform Concrete and Framing crews across Colorado.

We've got active projects throughout the Front Range and Mountain Region --- including Vail, Eagle, Aspen, and Telluride --- so this role does require willingness to work up in the mountains during the work week as project needs dictate.

You'll be working with:

Concrete layout, staking, and formwork verification

Setting control points and calculating/loading Trimble stations

AutoCAD for setting control and coordinating embed/hold-down/penetration layout

Quantity take-off support for estimating, constructability reviews, and scope coordination

Coordinating Concrete Lift Drawings and formwork design planning with Geotech, Civil, Steel, Framing, and Masonry teams

Routine field inspections for QA/QC

Training and mentoring crew members

Ideal background:

Associate degree in surveying minimum (Bachelor's in land surveying or civil engineering preferred)

5+ years surveying experience

Solid understanding of concrete systems, formwork, and shoring

AutoCAD + Trimble Access/Business Center experience (Civil 3D or MicroStation a plus)

MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or BIM360 experience a plus

Valid, clean driver's license required

FS/PS state licensure a plus

OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 a bonus)

Comfortable climbing stairs/ladders, working active sites, lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation: $80,000--$110,000/year (DOE and licensure)
