AmeriStaff Employment and Staffing Solutions is hiring for an Administrative Assistant. This position is for a client located in

Danville, VA. The Administrative Assistant will support accounting and logistics operations by coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry and invoicing processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

$15/hr. to $18/hr., depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Schedule shipments for pick-up and delivery based on shipping instructions

Prepare and organize shipping paperwork for easy access

Verify documents for accuracy and completeness

Ensure all shipping documents are submitted to accounting daily

Enter and update tracking information in Axiom system

Monitor and update shipment statuses

Obtain proof of delivery as needed

Complete Advanced Shipment Notices for imported materials

Receive incoming resale items into correct inventory locations

Track inventory and invoicing transactions for cable products

Process invoicing for storefront sales and assist with customer returns

Support month-end inventory counts and analysis

Assist with daily vouchering, invoicing, and shipping processes in Axiom

Maintain compliance with safety standards and housekeeping practices

Follow company quality and environmental policies (ISO standards)

Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed

Requirements:

High school diploma required

1+ year of administrative, accounting, or logistics experience preferred

Strong computer skills, including

Excel

Experience with invoicing or bookkeeping principles preferred

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

High attention to detail and accuracy
