Job Title: Systems Administrator Department:

Information Technology Position Summary:

The County is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain critical IT infrastructure across multiple departments, including public safety and judicial systems. This position works closely with the IT Director and serves as the primary technical escalation point and on-call responder.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain servers, network systems, and backups

Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues across departments

Serve as primary escalation for help desk requests

Monitor system performance, security, and availability

Support CJIS-related systems and security requirements

Participate in planning and implementation of IT projects

Provide after-hours and on-call support as required

MinimumQualifications:

3-5 years of IT experience in systems or network administration

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking

Experience with backups, virtualization, and security best practices

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in government or public safety IT environments

Familiarity with CJIS or similar compliance frameworks

Relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)

Work Environment: This position supports multiple county facilities and requires occasional after-hours work and on-call.
