ENGINEERING / SURVEYING / CAD TECHNICIANS

RESPONSIBILITIES: (training provided)

Utilize RTK-GPS instrumentation to develop topographic and boundary surveys; search, excavate, and locate survey monuments and corners. Construction staking - utilize surveying equipment to layout roads, utilities, and buildings. Develop Geographical Information System (GIS) to incorporate aerial imagery, topography, and field survey data. Import / incorporate field-acquired data to generate Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) drawings, plan-profile designs, and final survey plats Assist with development of engineering design (plans and specifications). Other responsibilities as directed/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to receive instructions, complete tasks, and recall/report results and/or activities of the day (both oral and written). Motivated, goal-oriented, and demonstrates good computer and math skills. Mechanically inclined, capable of maintaining and servicing equipment, aptitude for preventative maintenance and operational readiness. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to pass random drug testing and lift and carry 50 lbs. Exhibit consistent desire to show up to work, be ready to perform daily tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a self-directed, project-oriented environment.

LOCATION: Dalhart, Texas (approx. 80 miles northwest of Amarillo, TX).very few trees !!! Position generally requires both office (30%) and field work (70%) depending on weather, work load, and candidates aptitude for the project, etc.

COMPENSATION: Pay is commensurate with experience and is based on organizational, computer, and problem solving skills, aptitude for work, previous experience, and education (surveying/engineering background). Housing may be available as part of the compensation package.
