Responsibilities Include:

Prepare mortgage loan files for underwriting following internal and investor guidelines including the research investor/agency requirements for validity and compliance as needed or requested.

Must

understand the guidelines and submission practices of conventional, FHA, VA loans and various down payment assistance programs.

Be cognizant of the file's placement on the closing calendar and department standards for originator/member service and ensure closing deadlines are met.

Verify application and disclosures meet all compliance requirements including but not limited to; investor, HMDA, TRID, FHA, VA, FNMA and FHLMC.

Maintain a high level of member service by being proactive in communication with members, credit union associates, realtors, etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, members, and external partners through both verbal and written communication.

Mortgage Processing Knowledge: Minimum of one year of experience in first mortgage processing preferred, with working knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA loan programs.

Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure complete, compliant loan documentation and accurate file review.

Time Management & Multitasking: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.

Technical Proficiency & Adaptability: Experience with Encompass preferred; comfortable learning and navigating systems in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility to work remotely 2--3 days per week based on performance.

Additional Information:

The pay ranges represent the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. This position is eligible annual corporate bonus based on overall performance.

Pay Ranges for this position based on relevant experience:

Mortgage Processor I (1-2 years' experience) - GV 800 $20.50 -- $27.70

Mortgage Processor II -- (2-4 years' experience) GV 900: $22.50 - $30.40

Senior Mortgage Processor -- (4+ years' experience) GV 1100: $25.53 - $38.22
